School Readiness Program
Preschool | 4-5 year olds
Our school readiness program is designed to introduce young learners to the alphabet in a comprehensive and engaging way. Each week, we focus on one or two letters, beginning with an introduction to the letter, followed by an emphasis on its sound and usage. We also examine the letter's formation, discussing both uppercase and lowercase versions. Additionally, we complete a craft activity, allowing students to practice using scissors and glue sticks, thereby developing their fine motor skills. The program is run by an experienced primary school teacher with 18 years of classroom teaching experience.

Literacy Program
Prep - Grade 6
Our Literacy Program follows the Victorian Curriculum framework, tailored to enhance essential literacy skills for students. Through teacher modelling, guided practice, and opportunities for independent practice, students focus on the following:
-
exploring spelling concepts focusing on digraphs, split sounds, and blending
-
building phonics knowledge and letter recognition
-
reading comprehension, inferencing and understanding author's purpose
-
building extensive vocabulary and understanding how to incorporate these words into their writing
-
learning the correct grammar, including different tenses and writing in first and third person
-
writing various text types including persuasive texts, narratives, snapshots, recounts, and informational reports.
Our goal is to create personal learning goals that motivate and guide students to excel in literacy, providing them with the skills needed to express themselves clearly and effectively.

Mindfulness & Wellbeing Program

Our Mindfulness and Wellbeing Program is designed to support students' social and emotional development, enhancing their self-awareness, self-esteem, and resilience. This comprehensive program includes a robust social skills curriculum that emphasises goal setting and self-management strategies for children facing everyday challenges. We integrate key frameworks such as R.R.R.R (Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships) and CASEA, a program implemented through the Royal Children’s Hospital, to provide structured support and guidance. Additionally, our program focuses on developing essential study skills, including time management and building confidence, to ensure that each student not only succeeds academically but also thrives personally and socially.
